Happy Sumo in Mainz

If you feel like waiting 1.5 hours for your sushi, this is the place for you. If you don't order through any delivery service, you probably don't have a priority here.

Super delicious sushi, this is where even my friend got to know and love Shushi. Since then we have been going there every few months or even come to Mainz to pick it up, as we do now during the lock down, because unfortunately there is no delivery to us.

The sushi was delicious and nicely arranged, but we had a very long wait and there were also problems with redeeming the gourmet block.

Quality very high quality. Large selection. Lunch is plentiful and very reasonably priced.

Super cute, nicely decorated restaurant. Incredibly nice service and a great selection of different dishes (also a lot of vegetarian and vegan!) A little higher in price, but it's worth it :)

Excellent! Today I ate the frame there, yummy! I can only recommend it. In addition, the waitress mainly takes care of hygiene!

Apart from the wrong food we got, we waited 1/2 hour. One would have thought that they would have to re-fish the sushi. First and last time

I was there today. Sushi was very freshly prepared and was delicious !!!!!!! We also tried ramen. Yes and that was really great and tastes very good. :). Do I have to come back here again? :)

Had B3 to go, peanut sauce was lumpy. The cashier used the same hand she used to take money to cut vegetables into the pan. Especially in Corona times just an absurdity!

We love sushi. Happy sumo is our favorite restaurant. It is always fresh, delicious and a treat every time. The quality has remained the same for several years, great! Keep it up!

We have been regular customers for years. Sushi always tastes very good there. Conditions is nice. The ambience maybe a bit monotonous. Always my pleasure.

The food was delicious. But the staff was unfortunately too loud. Even though the music is loud, I can still hear their voices. It really distracted me.

The food is super delicious but the service on the border to the outrageous. In the front, the student discount grows up, but when you pay, it is suddenly no longer possible because you should have specified this when ordering. There is nothing of that anywhere. So either make the conditions clear or deduct the discount when billing, but do not simply say that it is no longer possible.

We were there today with the gourmet block. The sushi is really delicious. The waiting time was relatively long at 50 minutes. Then something came wrong - which we got on the house, which was very nice. When it was time to pay - not an entire menu was deleted but only a side dish - and it is usually the case with the gourmet block - that the second main course is free. That was a shame, of course.

Quite expensive, mediocre sushi. Something was wrong with the order and later there was a mix-up with the invoice. We had to wait about 50 minutes for our sushi

We ordered sushi for 4 people (€ 50). What we got was unfortunately max. enough for two people. (And no, we are not wolverines !!) ? In Berlin I pay a maximum of 20 € for the amount of sushi. Was very disappointed - it tasted anyway.

Tasty Food and Fast Service!

Good sushi restaurant on the edge of the old town. A beautiful, albeit manageable large room. Reservation makes sense. In summer you can also sit outside. Very friendly staff and suitable price - performance ratio

Great sushi for a good price. Everything looks beautiful and tastes amazing. I recommend a Jasmine tea to seal the deal! Also the staff are very friendly and it is a relaxing place with a low noise level.

Cozy place, friendly staff and fresh and tasty food. But probably they are not Japanese (if someone cares). Some sushi a bit ugly, but tasty. Dogs friendly. Baby friendly (even the special room for care). Some plum vine as compliment, if you are kind enough :)
